Americans Spend Way Too Much on Fast Food

According to this introduction to the book Fast Food Nation, $6 billion was spent on fast food in the 1970's. However, in 2000, are you ready for this? More than $110 billion was spent on fast food. An increase of over $100 billion in a period of thirty years is very hard to believe.
